Everything that Squidoo needs to happen to be successful (more users, more content, more clicks) should continue to increase regardless of the overall economy as long as Squidoo keeps getting better and better as a product. @Gil - I think that’s the right approach. At Squidoo we rarely let external factors like this influence our decisions, which gives us more time to focus on building a product that people want. I agree with you. I think it's still a great time for web start-ups and money is there for good people with good ideas. @Will - Thanks! I agree with you. I agree that mainstream media likes to jump on the bandwagon and portray this as all doom and gloom, which is horrible. If we want to spur economic growth (an by we I mean the citizens of this great country) we need to continue to do the things we did regardless of the times and spend our money on the things we deem important. Will the economic slowdown effect startups, yes, but it will have a positive outcome. Investors will take a harder, closer look at the business models and invest in those that they think are exceptionally viable, not just pretty certain. It just means we as entrepreneurs have our work cut out for us, but it does not mean that there is no money for investing. You have to bring your A game, that's all.</p> Brian,
